As above, although you can switch the Chase account before the card arrives. You can only see the card number in the app. There's no number on the physical card.

Thanks very much Mike & MOTR.

Just a quick update: I've applied for Natwest today for the 2 chase accounts and they've been successful.

Once the other accounts (Monzo, Santander) debit cards are here, how soon shall I apply for RBS and Ulster?

That's a good start. You can apply to switch the others as soon as you receive the cards. That's what many on this forum have been doing with success anyway.

That's great, thank you! I'll wait for the cards and will keep you posted on whether I'm successful or not.

Oh no!  My switch from Chase to Natwest has failed because I didn't realise, but I had a Chase Savers Account open which I've now closed.  What do I do now?  Have I lost the switch deal?

The switching offer is still live so you can just restart the switch as you did before.

Most likely decline due to the terms & conditions of the account. You could switch the solo account to NatWest and then the joint one elsewhere, although I’d highly recommend staying with Virgin Money for your joint, good interest on savings and one of the best I’ve found for customer service.

I applied for all 3 the same day, there was lots of finger crossing when these banks started the switch in case they talked to each other and refused but all went fine, some a bit slower than others

Thanks everyone.  @Bridlington1 - The reason the switch failed was because I forgot that other than a Chase current account, I had also previously opened a savings account.  I closed this and have managed to restart the process with Natwest, so all should be good now.

I've also received my Monzo card and have applied with Ulster Bank, which as @MikeJXE replied on another thread is going to take a bit longer than the other banks.  I'm still waiting for my Santander Debit Card to arrive which I will then try to switch to RBS.

@pridehappy - I've left all our accounts, including joint ones open and instead on @MikeJXE 's helpful advice, opened 3 burner current accounts (Chase, Monzo, Santander) for the switch.   Although being honest, I find Virgin Money to be one of the worst for customer service, especially when you go to their branches.
