I have a led TV atm and it's got a bluish hue and some times the faces on people go blotchy so maybe the back-light has gone.
I have four options
1. get it fixed
2. leave it despite it being annoying
3. get a new led TV
4. buy an oled
I know an oled is expensive and the picture is better but are they really worth it, is it even worth getting the old one fixed, its about 7 years old.
thanks

OLED give a fantastic picture provided your room isn't very bright. If you want it in a bright living room, then QLed is better.OLED also suffer from "burn in" where the pixels basically wear out if they keep showing the same thing all the time- like the logo of your favourite channel, or the HUD of your favourite game.OLED is best for an entertainment room type setting, QLed for general use in the living room.Unless you own TV has a really trivial fault, repair is generally more than it is worth at 7 years old, but you can try a repair shop- if you can take it there, calling out an engineer is expensive.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Whatever TV you replace it with will be worth it, you will realise how bad your existing TV is even if didn't have a fault....Why suffer?Drinking Rum before 10am makes you

What are your sources for your TV?
If you just watch Freeview then OLED wont add much to the party. If you mainly stream content from Netflix or Disney+ etc then you'd see big improvements from HDR/Dolby Vision etc and potentially resolution (depending on screen size and viewing distance).0 -
I mainly watch streaming services, rarely live tv0
