  • New spreadsheet sorted and the debt total is £12,248 - I am honestly disgusted that it's got to this level and feel like I've got absolutely nothing to show for it.

I am not doing this again, this is the last time I will get myself into any debt.

I could be so further forward with overpaying my mortgage if I didn't have this debt.

Gonna be mad at myself for a few minutes then get over it - time to start making positive changes now that will set me up for a much better future.

I wanted to be debt free by the end of 2023 but looking like it's gonna be June 2024 now. Even then it will be a complete slog to get it all paid but I love a challenge so here we go!

I'm gonna be paying most of these off in dribs and drabs throughout the month but as long as I hit these totals I don't care how I do it.

I've cancelled my Moneybox LISA payment of £100 a month right now so that I can pay these off. Once I'm debt free I'll make the payments I've missed back to this cos this is my OAP pot.

Thank you! Think half the battle is admitting to yourself how bad it's got, drawing a line and then starting to tackle it.

All done now so time to get it paid off then I can tackle the mortgage OPs.

  • Just cleared out an old bag and found £11.00 - not much I know but will pay that into the bank and add that towards one of the debts!

  • Had a rummage in the cupboards and I've got enough in there to do me a good few meals.

I've got a £10 Asda voucher that I'll use to get in anything else I need.

  • Got time off my FT job today but still have 4 dog walks to do so at least that is money coming in!

Started up my own dog walking business to get a bit of extra income, all insured and registered with HMRC but every extra bit is gonna help!

My own 2 dogs are still going out with their dog walker today so I'm gonna tackle the housework when I get back in then chill for a bit.

Planning a NSD today and just can't wait for my wage to hit the bank on Monday so I can start the payments on all this debt!

Is it sad I'm excited about it?
