first save...no log in allowed till monies paid in

hi all,
just looking for some reassurance really. ive opened up a one year fixed bond with firstsave. all went well, i deposited a lump of cash into the account...but now ive realised that i cant log into my firstsave account to check it went in ok.
on reading there instructions it says i will be posted my user id to log into the site only after ive paid money into it. this should be with me within 10 days...and i only have 10 days to fully fund the account?
just seems a little strange that i cant actually look at the account until ive put money in and even now i still cant as i have to wait till they post out a user id?
im trying to call them to check they have received the funds, but been on hold for over 30 minutes so far.
anyone else gone through this process?

I've just opened a fix with FirstSave and their information does seem to contradict itself somewhat. I did get my log-in letter at about the first point that I could, so was able to log in to check that everything looked correct, then made my first payment.
But that letter contradicts itself several times through the course of the content - I do wonder if anyone actually reads what they send out. But my letter did arrive very fast and I've got my account authentication one this morning, so they seem quite prompt with those at least.
I was a smidge concerned that they don't confirm deposits by email (other similar accounts using the same software system do), but when I logged in later it was there fine. I've just sent the last portion of my funds this morning and just waiting for it to appear. You could always ring and ask them if you haven't got your letter yet, someone else commented that their CS was very good in that respect.0 -

anyone else gone through this process?I opened my account on Friday and received the login details today. If you can get through on the phone they will confirm if the money has been received in your account0
