Card for Spain

I'm going to Spain for a couple of weeks in August and would usually just take cash before I go and spend that way. But looking into putting some on a card to spend abroad this time. I've had a Google and looked on MSE website so have a vague idea of where to go, but just wondering on others experiences on it? Would proabably spend about £2k and in my head looking to take maybe £500 cash and £1.5k on a pre paid card of sorts.

Why have the cost of a prepaid card? There are debit cards that are fee free

Personally I'd be looking at something like a Santander Edge as its fee free plus if you use a Santander ATM then you avoid the ATM fees too1 -
Santander Edge has strings attached - a monthly £3 fee, £500 minimum monthly pay in required and a minimum of 2 Direct Debits. The best option Santander UK account with debit card for ATM use at Banco Santander branded machines in Spain is an Everyday Current Account - it has no such conditions.1

Just use the guide on here for fee free options.
Barclaycard Rewards credit card or Starling for debit will cover your needs.1 -
The likely fees imposed by most ATMs in Spain also need to be recognised by the OP.For example, a Barclaycard Reward or Starling card used at a Santander ATM would cost you 7 Euro (last time I heard) per transaction.1
