    aye Gerry, BG did give me a refund of about £400, which I bounced back in, just old fashioned, wanting a good balance ready for winter usage,

    If you're on the old BG billing system you can choose Variable DD so that no credit builds up.  You can pay the equivalent Fixed DD into your savings account to fund your energy usage.
    (Sadly it seems the new BG billing system doesn't allow MVDD.)

  • I don't understand how it can be called a Green tariff. 

    Search for Greenwashing and REGOs. These claims are inline with Ofgem policy which you may or may not agree with.
