Smart meter has gone dumb
Options
At the end of June, my smart meter suddenly stopped sending readings.
I wouldn't usually care as it happened for about 2 months last year as well then kicked back in.
But i am on Octopus Agile and don't want to be kicked off the tariff as savings are decent.
Any idea what to do? I have restarted the circuit and no change. Also emailed octopus and no reply yet.

Thought that might do it but had no effect.
I will wait for a reply to my email. Is there something energy companies can do remotely to fix smart meters?0 -

I will wait for a reply to my email. Is there something energy companies can do remotely to fix smart meters? The issue here is probably the communications hub which is connected to your smart electricity meter. Communications hubs are the responsibility of The Data Communications Company not individual suppliers. Suppliers can ask The DCC to investigate and they can also request a remote communication hub reset which turns the power off to communications hub for 15 minutes. If this doesn’t work then you will need an engineer visit. The engineer will hard reset the communications hub.1 -
I don’t know much about smart meters, Usually with a PC, a restart solves a lot of issues so I was using that logic.
Anyway thanks for the detailed explanation. Octopus has finally replied to say it was been passed to the technical team.0
