Travel Insurance - can't book in advance

I have booked two holidays for next year - in April and August. One is in UK (April) and the other is in Europe - ferry from Hull to Holland then drive to Belgium. As Martin Lewis always suggests I normally buy travel insurance as soon as I book. However, most companies won't let me buy this far in advance. Any suggestions of who to try?
Also I assume with two trips it'll be more affordable to have an annual policy?

You have two options, book now and at least have cover for the first one next April (annual cover taken out today will cover you to 9th July next year. Wait until you can cover the August holiday and take out insurance then. You say you can't get cover this far in advance, but I'm guessing you are trying to take out the policy with a start date of April 2024. You need insurance now and annual multitrip cover will be available now.0

Thanks. I think I'll wait until the end of August (a year before we come back from holiday next year) and take out an annual policy to cover both trips next year.TELLIT01 said:You have two options, book now and at least have cover for the first one next April (annual cover taken out today will cover you to 9th July next year. As an aside, as we'll be taking the ferry to Holland, do we need cruise cover to cover for any cancellations etc or would normal insurance cover ferry trips?0 -
Maybe a packaged bank account which includes travel insurance would be worth looking at ?They renew annually at the anniversary.0

You do not need cruise cover for a P & O ferry0
