Hello all, yesterday was a wash out and it looks to be the same for today. I managed to do everything on my list yesterday then decided to clean the top of the fridge freezer, so while I had the step-stool out I cleared 2 shelves in the pantry and washed all the large containers. The container contents are still strewn on the dining room table so I'll sort through that and throw about half of it out I expect, one contains takeaway/tupperware boxes and I seem to have too many lids 🤔 I'll have to play the matching game.
There are 2 more shelves that need cleaning and cleaning but I'll need a taller ladder or someone who can reach off the step-stool 😁 Most of my baking tins are on the top shelf, shows how much I use them nowadays.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow as we're going to watch DGD in her play, it's the last thing she will be performing in Juniors. I can't believe she will be in Secondary school in Sept ! Where did all that time go ?

Morning folks and thanks Gers- have a good and safe trip.

I'm still on terra firma here but last night I was wondering how easy it would be to transform a static caravan into an ark! Torrential rain with never-ending thunder and lightning. I thought it was never going to stop. Today rain is forecast again for later but won't be as heavy according to the forecast. It sounds like the story of the week and beyond.

RUBY I hope your DM is soon sorted out and back home, then you will stop worrying and sleep better. FLOSS I hope your last session goes OK. IZZY gosh that dog sounds hard work!

Morning all,
Haven't been here for ages.....DH has had vascular problems since before Christmas and has been in and out of hospital all year....he is currently in having had two toes amputated last week....I will go in later as it's our wedding anniversary today.....where did that 53 years go? No celebrations planned as no idea when he will be home.
 Lashing rain here when I got up, stopped now but sky not looking too healthy
Hugs to all in need of want of one, I am so out of touch.

Morning! Weather is good, i.e. not raining yet. Had a wander round the garden, trimmed a bit of rosemary and took yet more cuttings, I don't seem to be able to grow them no matter how many how to's I read. Completely overdid it yesterday, ended up on the sofa sleeping all afternoon and evening feeling rotten so baby steps today. Apart from filling the boot for a tip run tomorrow that is. OH has been roped in to help though. No plans except for a bit of desultory pottering later on, and maybe making a proper at last plan for the front garden apart from stick it in and see. There may be another olive tree to dig up too, Window people are coming next week and hopefully plumber is coming this week to cap off some of the radiators that have cut outs in the windowsill for the knobs [ bakelite knobs, so that's how old they are...]

Floss, good to see but you could always tell your guests ot make the bed themselves, it's too tiring for you and congrats on the last radio jobbie...Gers, have a lovely time traveling about the place. Scarlet, gold stars for you! Oh Izzy, you do make me laugh, and I feel very sorry for your lack of sleep..Bella, happy shed emptying! I love a good clear out. camelot, yes, the pasta tubes in pastry does sound pretty yeuch. Why? Just why? Ruby, hope they can get ot the bottom of it soon and you get more sleep tonight. mucky, I remember being ships in the night with OH too..it's nice sometimes but very tiring after a while..TA, well, you won't have to water your pots this week then Marie, welcome back, but oh dear for your OH, and 53 years? congrats! Hi everyone,

Didn’t manage to post yesterday as we were at BFF’s Saturday night and had an impromptu mooch around a food/beer festival yesterday in the sunshine. We were all a bit stiff after dancing on Saturday – such a funny night.

Went to Co$tco on the way home and got the usual loo rolls, kitchen rolls, and laundry tablets. Not much cheaper but easier to buy in bulk. Our membership ends this month and we won’t be renewing as just don’t get there enough to make it viable.

I’m in London today and DH will be cooking sweet chilli chicken thighs for dinner, so looking forward to that.

We have just booked a long weekend to Majorca in October with BFF and her DH. Bit impromptu but will look forward to getting some Autumn sunshine. It’s all-inclusive and no doubt the men will make the most of the bar!

Had a busy couple of days 
Saturday out for coffee with friends ,pottered around the farm shop ,bought some of their strawberries,growing in field next to them .
then afternoon at friends Golden Wedding Announced ,lovely few hours ,
Sunday our
t to singles pub lunch (U3A ) then to bowling with long-standing friends son and family over from Australia ( my son and him each others best men ) took DGS1 with me so photo of all 4 grandsons and tiny me ,when did they all get so tall! Hip didn’t like it and I have been hitting the heavy duty painkillers since .But I don’t care !
quieter today just housework etc 
Counting down to when I can chase hip appointment
