Have to fly back to the UK to get an IDP? (International Driving Permit)

The UK isn't posting out driving license translations anymore. The AA only have a site for Ireland.
So how can I get a translation? It's required for Japan, and I'm in Asia.
I also have a New Zealand license. Maybe that's easier to get a translation for?
