Can I exchange my stamps for the new barcoded ones?

I've read the rules about exchanging stamps for the barcoded ones but am not sure if I can swap ones I have.
One bunch are actually prepaid envelopes with a printed first class stamp on it. So not actually stamps at all.
The other bunch is a collection of envelopes I've found addressed to someone (think it was something to do with our house move a few years back) that have actual first class stamps attached to the envelopes. So I don't know if they were self adhesive or not but either way - they're not on the original self adhesive backing and if they weren't self adhesive I can't like them and attach them to the paper application as they're already stuck to an envelope.
Any idea if I can send these in with any success???

The ones on envelopes would be considered by Royal Mail as used, as per a lot of listings on Ebay.
Someone with more knowledge may be able to comment on the prepaid envelopes but as you say they are NOT stamps.2 -
These are called Postal Stationery, I don't think they are covered under the swap scheme.

you have nothing to lose by getting a form, filling it in and sending it off and see if anything comes back1

That's what I was thinking of doing.....unless I can use them before the end of the month maybe by steaming the stamps off the envelopes or fixing a label over the address already on there. Assuming of course I need to post something.....GrubbyGirl_2 said:you have nothing to lose by getting a form, filling it in and sending it off and see if anything comes backI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Steam them off, cut up cereal boxes to make postcards and send them off as competition entries...Brie said:That's what I was thinking of doing.....unless I can use them before the end of the month maybe by steaming the stamps off the envelopes or fixing a label over the address already on there. If you can get the stamps off the paper without damaging them , then you could send them off to royal mail in loose form and see what happens ?
I doubt steaming will work as todays stamps dont use water based glue like decades ago.
Cant see you have much to lose by sending them in if not using them up before 31st July .

By the strict rules of the Swap Out Scheme they would be discarded if loose, they should be stuck to the form. So Pritt Stick at the readyTOP_CAT said:If you can get the stamps off the paper without damaging them , then you could send them off to royal mail in loose form and see what happens ?

You're right - getting them off without the security cut-out being lost is the challenge - which is why they have it in the first place.I need to think of something new here...0 -
