I've been quoted up to £500 by local solicitors to complete form ID1 and found this Outfit online who charge £59. Anyone used them or similar?

I got a retired teacher friend to sign ID3 instead of using ID1 so no cost. I hadn't realised a retired teacher could sign it I thought they had to be a current teacher but Land Registry help forum clarified that was OK - though the form doesn't make that clear.

£500 is very high for an ID1 check.
Online solicitor video ID services are usually around £50–£80, so £59 is fairly normal as long as it’s a UK solicitor-regulated provider.
Just make sure they clearly confirm HM Land Registry ID1 acceptance before paying.
