SSE to OVO nightmare.

Six weeks ago I was forcibly moved from SSE, with whom I have never had issue, to OVO Energy. The issues started on day 1 by setting my pay-as-you-go electricity meter to zero when it was £47 in credit. On contacting them I was told this was normal and that it would be all back to normal within a week and that the credit would be replaced. They also assured me I would not be disconnected during this transition period as I am flagged as vulnerable.. This was nearly 6 weeks ago and my meter is now £128 in the red and I am burning electricity at a rate of knots. From January to February, as an example, this year my total use was £75 as I had the heating and H/water moved to gas 2 years ago. My electricity bill has nearly doubled from the day I was moved to OVO.
I have just taken a photo of my meters standing charge, 54.810p per day and an Active Tariff of 33.530p Per kWh. I have no idea whether that is correct or not as OVO do dot reply to any of my emails.

Govt rates for prepay on their website - 1st link below - beware ex vat (add 5%, x1.05)Check gov link below for your region - but on the face of it unit rate looks c4p high - but with regional variationThere is 20p+ regional variation in electric sc so hard to tell - but your number in the correct range.Prepay is still technically covered by EPG - (to overall match DD) but due to Ofgem changes - it currently only discounts gas units. See description and prices - note prepay is the lower 2 tables. The first 2 are DD (Ofgem other payment method)Havent checked exactly matches Ofgem and only did one region cf gov - but edf electric - as a guide to what other suppliers are charging - is again c4p min cheaper per kWh unit @c28-c30.12p - the last one matches gov uk table above. It might save you adding the vatI'd ring and query.PS Is it possible those are still Apr-Jun prices ?(IIRC read here old style prepay can take 3+ credit top ups sometimes to update meter rates - but think that is key / card based not Smart)1
