July electricity price cap
Ofgem is clear that the electricity only price cap is now 30p per kWH. Why is Eon charging me 31.1p?
After some research online it appears that there may be regional variations in this price cap. I don't understand. If that is true, then the 30p is not a price cap. If the suppliers want to have regional variations then they can, but all charges should be below the widely-advertised price cap.
Has anyone taken this up with Ofgem: I can't believe that I am the only one to notice the problem?

There is no one price cap, the media tends to report one figure for ease, but Ofgem set different regional price caps. The 30p per kWh is not and has never been the price cap, because there is no one price cap.geoff1954 said:Ofgem is clear that the electricity only price cap is now 30p per kWH. There is no need to do anything because you being billed based on the regional cap is absolutely correct.
