I would love to find somewhere in Norfolk near the beach which takes 3 dogs (toy poodles so don't even lose hair and probably only weigh the same as one decent sized dog) that is free for sometime in September and doesn't cost the earth.  I don't think most holiday let owners realise that their main customers will be dog owners who often have multiple dogs.

As dog owners ourself we generally find when talking to people it's just one bad dog owner that ruins it for all.

Most will try allowing dogs but are soon put off.

We have found that some,.even though they say no dogs will allow a well behaved doggy sometimes for a little extra charge.

The mention of three though would probably put most non dog savvy people off.

I think it's having 3 that is your problem. You essentially have a pack. I have 1 and never have a problem finding places to go. I think it's either haven or park dean that limit to 2 dogs also

It’s not just the hair, it’s sand and dirt they bring in when they’ve been on the beach. We have had dogs all our lives and I know full well the extra work they involve. The last one was PTS aged 19, just a little terrier cross and we have not replaced him.  We are also very conscious of the neighbours next to our holiday let and would not want them disturbed by 3 barking dogs. We usually had two dogs at a time and found most cottages, caravans and even Center Parcs would only take one small dog.

We have had 3 bookings from people who move out of their houses for a week to enable floors to be laid, extensions built and kitchens renovated.  I think there’s another one in the pipeline as a lady has booked a week and she only lives 40 minutes away.  Very useful for us though.

To the OP, why not post a link to your accommodation (don't know if that's allowed or not, but people post links to houses for sale which is similar)? You might get more consumer feedback that way. Apologies if you have, but I haven't seen it.

If you can't, or not allowed to post, perhaps say where it's listed and a description?

You might even get some interest!

Also, as others have said, I too think the media are over-hyping the doom and gloom as far as cost of living etc goes. But, that seems to be almost normal now with daily prophecies of impending disaster. People generally still do seem to have a lot of spare money to spend, whether it's on holidays or cars or tech stuff.

OP don't post any personal information that can lead back to yourself.

  • Going back to the OP, since posting, my folks mentioned that their North Norfolk place is more or less booked out until the end of the year.

Looking at AirBnBs in June next year near Warwick, they're going for extortionate money!
So it looks like all is not lost.
  • I wonder whether the high temperatures abroad will make a difference.  I know a friend got back from Turkey yesterday and was so pleased to have Welsh rain and “summer” temperatures!

Update.  Several bookings just came in and July has filled up, most of August and Sept was already fully booked so guessing it’s people deciding not to go abroad because of the heat.
