Does anyone have a problem logging in to their EDF account on Windows?
A few days ago I attempted to login using Chrome and was unable to do so as the login prompt page (requiring the e-mail address) was alternating between two page addresses on the 'tab' (about four times a second) and losing field focus each time, however Edge was OK. Now the same thing is happening with the Edge browser.
I haven't been able to login with Chrome since the problem started ... must have tried about twenty times.
Hovering over the tab, with much concentration, I can make out the two addresses ...
edfenergy.com/myaccount/login?
destination=myaccount
edfenergy.com
and
MyAccount | EDF Energy UK
edfenergy.com
My laptop is running Windows 11 Home.
I am tech savvy but haven't come across this problem before in my 30+ years of using Windows and only seems to be affecting the EDF website. Any clues?
Edit: OK on my smartphone Chrome on Android 10.

I just logged on now with no issues.
I am running Win 11 Pro and Chrome.
Have you tried deleting history/cache/cookies/etc ?
Do you have the EDF phone App? Can you login on that?
Can you try logging in on your phone using the phone's browser?1 -

Edit: I turned off cookies and cleared all browsing data (and specifically for edfenergy.com), then turned on cookies again. I then set MS Edge browsing cookie preferences again, went to EDF login and set the 1st party essentials on, I was able to login successfully. I exited, closed the tab, added a tab and logged in again.
Now for my default browser, Chrome.
Edit: performed similar actions with Chrome, now OK.
Note: It's now a pain setting all my options and settings for each site again. For some reason even file explorer reverted to default layouts.
Thanks again.0 -
Yes. Sometimes the login page jumps around so text can't be entered. Closing the browser and reopening seems to fix it until next time.1

This time I opted in to 'functional cookies' on the EDF login page the first time after clearing all browser cookies and history, it did say that the website may not function correctly in all circumstances if not on.0 -
Does the same odd behavior happen in an "Incognito Window" in Chrome?1

@Spartan_117 ... I haven't used incognito mode until I just tried it and familiarised myself. It's a good question/point and something to try if it happens again. Thank you.
