Hi all hope someone can help
I have a good connection to the internet however at between 7.30 and 8.00pm every night my internet disconnects for about 2 minutes and then reconnects
i have no idea why this happens
my questions are
Is the some sort of "event log" where this disconnection is recorded as i would like to give this info to my provider (SKY) and hopefully get them to fix it or use it as leverage to get a reduction on my payments
Is there an app i could install to record this disconnection
thanks

You can also set up a free monitor to provide evidence. See https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

Best bet google model & you should find something to give you a guide.
But if it is happening at same time everyday, then that kind of points to something switching & disrupting connection.
So is there anything in the house, that either switches on or off around that time?Life in the slow lane1 -

Me, the first think I would do is go onto cable. so wifi interference is ruled out0

You need to directly connect your computer to your router using ethernet cable to see if its only WiFi that is affected
As lots of devices use 2.4ghz bandwidth chances are you have interference and you might benefit from switching to 5ghz bandwidth
