UC Bank Statement Reference

Hi, I have just received my first UC payment and it has shown up on my bank statement in the format of '111111A1A DWP UC" (i have replaced the actual letters and numbers).

Is this normal or do I need to contact DWP? My friend gets UC and also CA and says his statements always show his NI number as 'AA111111A DWP UC' Thanks!

The numbers on my statement change each month.
As long as the payment is right then I wouldn't worry about the reference numbers.

CA always shows NI number next to the payment for me. My daughters UC payment the number is different every month. Her payments are always the same. It's normal.

Dwp payments typically are the NI number, benefit initials, then amount.

Not for UC.  Mine are all random, like the OP's.
