Contrary to what I wrote in the V4 thread, I have opted for their fix.
Only marginally cheaper than Eon Next's S.V.R., but I'll take their word about a no penalty exit if they offer anything cheaper in future, fix or a drop in SVR.

Switch to Eon's fixed rate tariff
I'd be inclined to go with Eon's fixed. I have done the same with my own supplier in So Energy when they offered their latest fix.

I have  suspicion energy prices are going to rise in the next 3 months which may have a knock-on effect with the next EPG review in time for October's price update.

Eon Next Loyalty Fixed v4 with no exit fees if subsequently change to another Eon Next tariff is cheaper than the supplier with cheaper variable SVR tariff, standing charge and unit rate are both less .....................
So could a customer take the Eon fix, then at some later date switch to Eon SVT without penalty, then change supplier after that?

"there is nothing to technically stop a customer from doing this to avoid exit fees, hopefully the offer of a fixed tariff will encourage our customers to stay with us and there would be no need to switch"
