Harley = No Wheels!

We bought a new motorbike a year ago and have had issues with it since we got it. My question is, when your car is faulty (under warranty), you get a courtesy car, no such thing with Harley it would seem. So we have paid for a bike that we don't have the ability to use. I appreciate they are 'fixing' it, but that can take months - what rights do we have seeing as we have had to cancel trips, broken down and generally not gotten what we paid for? If we sell it, the price has obviously dropped, but we've not really had any benefit. Help, please!

    Not always.
    Many manufacture's now do not supply one. It is down to the dealer to provide one.

    This from Kia

    Limited liability

    Under this warranty, Kia are only liable for the repair or replacement of original parts by an authorised Kia dealer that are defective in material or workmanship. Kia are not liable for any costs that may incur getting to a dealer, supplying a replacement car or as a result of being without the car during warranty repairs.

    Given you have had the bike a year. Why have you not rejected it?

    Harley aren't what they used to be, the bullet proof bikes of the 80's are long gone, they seem to be built wherevers cheapest now.

    A friend had one about 3 years ago and it was in the garage more than it was on the road, the service was slow, always waiting on parts from abroad.

    If the faults were there in the first 6 months then dealer had one go at repairing - if they are still there you could return the bike for a refund. Slightly complicated now if you've already gone down the warranty road
