First timer looking for direction - UKPC

Hello to all the people
Hopefully this isnt a huge faux-pas asking, ive read the materials but unsure what route to take
I received my first charge notice from UKPC in the post for parking in a restricted "no parking period" area for 1.27 hours. (somewhere ive parked many times before). Essentially bought mcdonalds and sat in an adjacent carpark as mcd was full.
The signs on the way in state maximum 3 hours stay. I went back to double check and no visible signs stating anything about restricted periods. I do have pictures of the signs on the way in but im unable to upload them. no barriers etc or ticket machines present.
location:
The Underfloor Heating Store, 12, Carnival Park, Carnival Cl, Basildon SS14 3WN
anyway, my friend advised me to take the not accepting liability template route. I however believe that the signage is genuinely incorrect and this is done for predatory purposes. (boy racers sometimes hang out there).
Im painfully not legal minded so i am quite lost on what the best route is.
Id hugely appreciate any advice given, as im a little overwhelmed by all the information.
all the best

i have drafted this off the back of the guides provided, if anyone cares to advise.Re: (Removed by Forum Team)I was issued with a parking ticket for parking at Carnival Park ,ss14 3we on 29/06/2023. The car was parked there between 20:07 and 21:35 during an apparent "no parking period". I have been charged £100.I strongly believe that this ticket was issued unfairly. I am not liable for the amount payable because: There was insufficient signage. There is no barrier, warnings or signs that mention any no parking period that is visible to a driver. In fact, the signs explicitly state parking stay is a maximum of 3 hours.I have enclosed the following evidence to demonstrate my claim: Photos of the entrance to the car park. It was taken on the day the ticket was issued. It shows clearly that there was no sign about the parking charges for restricted times, only clearly displaying a maximum 3 hour stay.Sincerely,0

Welcome!
Bin that version. You've clearly been reading the still not-very-good MSE Guide to fighting parking tickets. Don't use that appeal.
Please read the NEWBIES FAQS sticky thread.
See my signature below for what one of the 2 links back looks like. The other hyperlink to hop back to page one is right underneath the reply box below.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

See you at the end of the month - or in August when the Government's final private parking Code Consultation will be open, we understand. We need EVERYONE to push the new law over the line.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So to my understanding i should ignore the fact the signage was incorrect and proceed straight to disputing as keeper using the 'one size fits all' template in the FAQ? If so you can simply thumb the comment
thanks for your time!

That's the one - do NOT admit who was driving. Save the sign points for later if necessary.
BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”
Please then tell us here that you have done so.3 -

Hello everyone, i am back with a response.Mouse007 said:That's the one - do NOT admit who was driving. Save the sign points for later if necessary.
I have looked through the guide a few times and cant seem find anything pertaining to how to reply to UKPC's response.
They are essentially asking for the details of the driver again within 7 days, stating the signage is adequate (it is not, have pictures). Like i said, the tiny signs say 3 hour max stay yet they claim a "restricted parking time" is clear on them. Of course i can post the entirety of the reply here if necessary, but this is the takeaway from it.

May someone please steer me as to my next stage of dispute?
appreciate any help

You know not to tell them who was driving.
Do nothing but wait patiently for your appeal to be rejected and then proceed to file a PoPLA appeal as described in the third post of the NEWBIES thread.2 -
You ignore their fishing exercise and wait for their inevitable rejection with POPLA code.
