Hi all,
British Gas are using a strange strategy for offering their new fixed deals at the mo, cold calling customers and asking them to make a decision on the spot. I asked one guy I talked to if he could mail me details, he said he would if I signed up, nice! It's not a great deal by the way, comes out as 'borderline' for me on Martin's checker tool.
Anyway, a second guy rang a day later, I specifically asked him twice if there were any exit fees for leaving the deal to go back onto SVR and he said 'no' but the only mention on the contract is no fees for moving to their other fixed rate deals. Was he lying?, does anyone know more than I do?

I've just confirmed with their chat that there are no exit fees for moving back to SVR.0

Same tariff has been available online for some customers, states no exit fee if change to another B.G tariff.

That's probably the only way the door steppers can get their commission.Jon_Painter said:Hi all,
