Club Lloyds... Joint current a/c as well as sole for extra lifestyle benefit?

Can you have a joint Club Lloyds a/c in addition to a sole one?
I know nowadays you can only open one Club Lloyds sole current a/c but I can't see where it says you can't also open a joint one.
The T's & C's say the lifestyle benefit is one per account not one per person so I thought I could get Disney+ by opening a new joint Club Lloyds a/c. As I couldn't see this not being allowed I tried opening the joint a/c online...
First problem was that both my wife and I have to be logged in at the same time - cue setting up a laptop (neither of us use their app). Then, following the instructions gave "It looks like something's gone wrong" on both computers. Try again and get further and am asked for personal details - subsequently get message instructing me to tell my wife it's been completed and can continue on our own devices. Only option is to return to home page so I've no idea how I'm supposed to continue. Meanwhile, on my wife's screen, selecting the next screen gives the "something's gone wrong" error.
Has the application been successful or not? No idea. If successful, then how do I continue?
Start application again. Get given an application ref on one computer but when input on other get message "We couldn't find that application. Please try
again" so maybe original application still open?
Try online chat. Only suggestion is to clear cache.
Try again - same errors.
Try phoning - line too busy to get put through but message suggests applying online!!! Keep holding and eventually line gets disconnected rather than answered.
Give up.
Errors can't be due to attempting to open joint Club Lloyds a/c when not allowed as I've not got as far as getting asked which type of a/c we want to open.

A couple can each have a sole account and can share a joint account.
We had to open the joint account in branch, but that was years ago.0 -
Yes, me and my other half both have a sole club Lloyds account which we both have cinema tickets as the lifestyle benefit. And when they announced the Disney + benefit we opened a joint club Lloyds account and have Disney + as the benefit on that account. We managed to open the joint account via the Lloyds app, think this is a fairly new thing as in the past when I was looking to open a joint Lloyds account it appeared it could only be done in branch as existing customers. Via the app, it was a very straightforward process.0

Same, we have 2 magazines and Club Disney between us.
Glad LBG no longer insist on a branch appointment to open joint accounts, that was a nonsense.0 -
I've got two slow Club Lloyds accounts and receive both benefits.0

Thank for the replies, seems to be worth persevering.Downloaded app on wife's phone but mine not compatible so tried with wife on app and me on PC (with different browser). Same errors.Just tried again with PC and laptop. Mostly error but did once manage to get it to proceed on both devices. Prompted for personal details on both devices and then finally got to select a/c type. Selected Club Lloyds and got the message "Sorry you can't apply online, please go to branch instead".I'll try opening a joint Classic a/c then try to upgrade to Club.0

This is possible by applying for or upgrading two accounts in the same session, or by removing a second party from a joint bank account. It's not intended though as it's forbidden by the terms.Gers said:I've got two slow Club Lloyds accounts and receive both benefits.
(This differs from the situation with Halifax Reward where the terms at one stage forbid you from having more than 1 but their system would happily accept applications for up to 3 regardless of timing, terms have since been updated to reflect that limit.)1 -

Had an existing one. Did a switch from a TSB account to a second one. Never had a joint account. Got two sets of cinema tickets. I shall keep it until / when Lloyds decide to keep to their terms.

Tried opening a joint Classic a/c this morning.Managed to get both screens through to the current a/c selection stage. Chose classic and got the "Sorry you can't apply online, please go to branch instead" message again.Maybe all the errors I've had are making it look as if I've had a lot of new a/c applications?Think I'll have to leave it for now.

Maybe check both sole accounts have the address recorded exactly the same (formatting and all)? I know when I opened LBG joint accounts in branch one of the things they check is that both addresses match before attempting to open a joint.clivep said:Tried opening a joint Classic a/c this morning.Managed to get both screens through to the current a/c selection stage. I think the problem may well be to do with our address because we have lived here for less than 3 years. This means I'm usually asked for the previous address when making a/c applications but the online Lloyds a/c application doesn't ask.I've just tried applying as a new customer and it does ask for the previous address. Unfortunately, it subsequently recognises me as an existing customer and prompts me to log in.Looks like our only option is a visit to a branch.0
