Hi Guys,
Two things:
1. How to change a date of court hearing? i done some research and i think i need to fill in a N244 form but it comes with a cost which is similar to what UKPC claiming for
2. Should i still file a Defence?
More information on UKPC claim:
PCN date: 02/01/2022
PCN Reason: Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space. (basically parked on a double yellow line in the car park. Its a free retail car park
Claim form received: 23/12/22
SAR received: Yes
N180 sent: 21/02/23
Notice of allocation to small claims (hearing): 29/06/23
Defence submission deadline: 27/07/23
Hearing date: 10am 11/09/23
Lastly, second post of the sticky thread in what to do.... will that help in my case where i parked in a double line in the car park? thanks!!!!

Nonono! DO NOT TIP THEM OFF!
If this is a DCBLegal single PCN claim they will discontinue anyway:

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80100422/#Comment_80100422That is what you must do! Carry on. You are at WS BUNDLE stage.
Softly, softly catchee monkey...BUT OH DEAR.... ALARM BELLS ... you ask about a defence. You already filed that in January!
What is required this month is your WS BUNDLE.
...please tell us you used the Template Defence? What did you put in January?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks, i will take my chance then and hope they discontinue. Your right, dont want to tip them off.
Maybe im using the wrong word, but in the Notice of Proposed Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing) letter, page 2, it says Directions apply to this Claim:
6) Each party must deliver to the other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which that party intends to rely at the hearing no later than 4pm 27th July.
Do i still need to do this?
When responding to the N180, i used the information on the discussion titled "N180 Form - April 23 - Guidance Provided" . Is this what you mean when you say i already filed a defence?0 -

Those 'documents on which you intend to rely' are your Witness Statement and evidence.ApplePear said:When responding to the N180, i used the information on the discussion titled "N180 Form - April 23 - Guidance Provided" . Is this what you mean when you say i already filed a defence?
You would have never received the N180 if you had not filed a Defence well before that.2 -
Ok i just figured out what WS Bundle means. Im assuming I still need to do this by 27th July and send it across.
Il search for it in the forum and get to it right away. Thanks for your help0 -

Jump through all the court required hoops and by their deadline - DCB Legal will discontinue. Failure to do so will result in a 'judgment in default' against you, and a CCJ that could cause you catastrophic financial injury. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
