Plant ID help needed

Options
I sowed some gem lettuce at the start of the season but one plant looks distinctly different to the rest. I'm guessing a rogue seed got into the packet somehow.  It has long stalks with hand-sized leaves, anyone know what this is?

Hard to say at this stage but looks like Mallow from the leaves.
I had some rogue seeds in my broccoli packet. Someone else did too. Never known it before but since the pandemic it seems to be a bit of an adventure.

I think you’ve got a hollyhock there. I would plant it out (don’t eat it though!)

Thanks, everyone.  I had no clue where to start research so that gives me a jumping off point.  It's certainly fighting the tomato plants for the best sunlight spot, whatever it is!
  • How's your hollyhock* doing? :)
(*or mallow, though it looks more hollyhocky to me)

It's doing well!  It's still indoors, as we've had some really windy/rainy weeks here on the coast and I didn't fancy its chances outdoors.  The rain came down so hard the week before last that it flattened a tree in the garden and ripped a sizeable branch off another, so that was probably a good decision.  I might try and plant it out in a container after this weekend's forecast wind.  It'll be intriguing to see what odd kind of 'lettuce' flowers next year.
