I didn't get on with my new HP Deskjet printer and gave it to someone. How do I delete my user account so the new owner can set one up and use the printer? I've searched but can not find the solution.
Thanks for any advice.

I never register them so not a problem however the new pwner should just be able to set it up and register it to them if they wish.

They have tried unsuccessfully. I also tried to change my email address but it only accepts the one I used to set up the account.

    Permanently Delete Your HP Account

If you’ve decided to proceed with deleting your HP account permanently, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your HP account.
    2. Go to the account settings or profile section.
    3. Look for the account deletion option.
    4. Follow the prompts to confirm the account deletion.
    5. You may be asked to provide additional verification or enter your account password to complete the deletion process.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any account deletion option.

It also won't accept a change of email address.

    I'm at a loss here.

No I never set that up as I didn't want to be tied to HP. Ironically, it seems I perhaps am.

I just thought that if I deleted my account then the new owner could set up their own account and use the printer.

Thanks for your replies. I've looked at the YT video then the Smart App. I removed the app from my phone when I gave the printer away but still have it on my PC.
I can't remove the printer from my account as it isn't turned on.

So, I think the person who has it will have to do a factory reset.

You didn't do that yourself before passing kit on to a new owner?
OK, it's not always a good idea with older kit that is no longer supported, but otherwise it's basic security to clear out kit back to defaults before passing it on.
