CST unpaid debt reminder letter

Hi,

I have received an unpaid debt notice from cst law for £160 and now wondering what I do or should I just carrying on ignoring.

Strange situation I parked and paid for a ticket at a football ground to play and my ticket was going to expire so when I went to go get another ticket someone stopped me, who I assumed worked at the ground or for the car park and told me to give him my number plate and he will sort it and that I didn’t need another ticket.

However a couple weeks later I got a fine from UKPS which I appealed and told them how someone took my number plate down. They replied and asked for the admin fee of £30 to be paid instead. Which I emailed back disagreeing with as I was willing and going to buy another ticket for my car! Anyway after this last email I sent no agreeing they carried on sending letters asking for the full amount to be paid and now finally cst law has sent me one asking for £160 and that UKPS would like me to pay or could go to court?

kind of wish I just paid the £30 admin fee they requested but i was stubborn since I didn’t do anything wrong and that I was going to pay for a couple more hours before I was stopped.

has anyone got any advice for this situation I’ve read a few of the forums but feel mine is different to most.

Cheers

Please read the CST Group Thread - your case won't be any different. Should UKPS be brave enough to issue court proceedings, CST won't be involved. Come back on this thread should you receive a formal Letter Of/Before Claim from solicitors (not CST) representing UKPS, or a County Court Claim form from the Northampton CCBC.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But come back at the end of July please.

The DLUHC's final Public Consultation needs your voice if you want to help us get the new law to curb rogue parking firms over the line this Summer.
