    They were laid by the OP who (presumably) is not a qualified fitter.
    Would be up to the supplier to prove that poor fitting has caused the damage. Doesn't really affect what the OP should do at this stage.  
    If more than 6 months since purchase then is  report not required stating there is an inherent fault?

    The OP has been asked twice when they were bought but has chosen not to answer.

    You could be right but I assumed that 'after fitting' would have been within the 6 month window.

    So when were they bought & how long have they been laid?

    OP seems to be neglecting the important question of when they were bought.

    You really need to confirm when they were bought. As previous posters have advised, it makes a difference with regard to your rights. 

    The retailer would have the right to inspect the flooring to confirm a fault. And depending when purchased, an automatic full refund isn’t a right.

    they were bought in February this year but we 1st complained about then in May

    I have also fitted many tiled floors over the years with no problem in our house we had lived in for over 30 years
