Seals for double glazed windows

Definitely need help with this.
The seals on my windows have suddenly decided to go brittle and break. I called the window doctor and she reckoned I could do it myself.

I've looked on YouTube and it seems easy, wash, use washing up liquid as a lubricant. I'm just concerned about cutting and getting it flush.

But first I need to know if it matters what shape I buy.
The ones on there are this sort of shape, just curling over

But I also see a bubble gasket?

And then there are more shapes.

Mine are black but I see there are white ones. Not sure thats necessary. Will need cleaning comes to mind and no one sees them.
The bedrooms face north east on a hill with constant wind so need to be done as well as possible.

Any hint and tips on what to buy or pitfalls putting them in would be welcome.

I have just replaced our upvc front door seal as the previous seal was very compressed and letting in a draft. I struggled to find a replacement at first but sent a photograph to a company who helped match it up to one of their products. It was slightly larger (1mm) but fitted well. It could be that the previous was just compressed over 15 years of use. I’m sure the same principle applies to upvc windows. There can’t be that many different ones on the market.

We used what I think is a standard bubble seal. This is also the same seal on my rear garden door so must be quite generic https://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/shop/ws2273-21819

I also used a small white stick on trim to seal the gap next to the seal as a secondary barrier. I may also use this for my windows at a later date https://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/shop/srs1709-21266

    Thanks for that Adam.
The bubble seal I can get at local builders merchant. I didn't think it would last long as it's quite thin. Don't fancy doing it again .
I'm hoping to get the same v shape that was in before and closes against the same inside.
Trouble there are lots of sizes. And not available - at least until I get to know the size.

Like the white stuff. I've bookmarked that because looks like it may be useful.
