Can council let themselves into a temp housing to do checks??

I read an article a few weeks back that suggested there were only 18 properties in all the London Borough for rent which fell within the Local Borough's budgets.

I would love to eventually move back up north where I was born! But the kids’ father lives here and I’ve been working here for 10 years. 

Fully appreciate that, as Landlords out of London we have seen a steady stream of families from London Boroughs arrive with either fully paid rent or deposits in hand and rents at up to half the price of London. In our particular area with an hour and a half train ride to London.

It's food for thought for when the time is right especially if you can land a job in advance in a particular area.
