I appreciate your assertion Grizebeck - please understand I have zero legal background and I was unaware that I could not make amendments.

After a submission, is it possible to contact the court to make any amendments?

Only on payment of an application fee.

So I need to call the court to do this - do I call them or need to use a specific form to submit?

As well as @Grizebeck's point, remember that by this time the Claimant will have already seen your Defence as it currently stands.

ok, I clearly made mistakes - I just need to know what I can do, if anything to remedy before it goes to court and I send the Directions questionnaires back

It's too late to change it unless you pay £108 and seek the Court's agreement to amend your defence.  Up to you.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well I would rather pay that and update my defence than give VCS what they want outright.  This is about principle, not just about money.

Do I call the court, do they send a new form?

Sorry for the many questions.  I just need to know how to go about these things.

We aren't saying you have to pay them or that you have to amend that defence. It is sadly very weak (and astonishing that you didn't include the main fact that you weren't the driver) but we didn't say you *have to* change it.

Your choice. You can just carry on and sort it out with witness statements later.

I think with this claimant and a judge that's on the ball they are really going to struggle to turn round and introduce byelaws

    Please elaborate your point.

I understand what @Coupon-mad is saying that I do not have to pay and change, but if I was to do so, does it mean I have the ability to redefine my defence?

Yes you can and if it was me I would do exactly that
