Hi,

I did a quick search of all available tariffs in my area and most offer night rate at around 20 ppkwh. However EDF offer it at 8 ppkwh this is going to save our household roughly £150-200 per year! However it was expensive on day rate so as usual check to see if it works out for you.

You must be one of the lucky ones who live in the Eastern Region.
EDF's off peak Eco7 rate for me in Yorkshire is 15.22  :'(

Welcome to the forums.

From memory most of the other night rates that had collapsed to really low levels - iirc in Jan as the EPG discount on electric jumped to 33p - jumped back to the c14-16p level when discount returned to c17p in April.

One of those who has been benefitting from the Eastern low rate - for last 6m - if not longer - speculates - that it is because of their Nuclear plants in the region - which is probably reasonable.

Forum posts were common around both periods re those rate changes.
