APCOA parking charge notice

I received a parking charge notice for my vehicle being parked in a private car park without making a valid payment on a site covered by APCOA. On the date in question, I’m aware that the driver of the vehicle used the app (with the correct VRM) to pay for parking - £2 for 4 hours. The app came up with the on screen confirmation to say the parking/payment was successful. However, the driver’s bank account shows no payment was taken by APCOA and there is no VAT receipt for this. As the driver has no proof that parking was confirmed, is there any way to appeal this fine?

None of the above matters.
Just send the 'non-POFA, get lost' appeal stated on all other APCOA threads. Just search the forum & copy.
Obviously you'll already know from reading NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST, before posting, not to say who was driving.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's not a "fine". Did you by any chance take a screenshot of the "confirmation"?
There are many ways to "appeal" this speculative invoice over an alleged breach of contract from an unregulated private parking company. Have you tried plan A yet? Plan A is to complain to the landowner/store.
Have you read the Newbies/FAQ thread yet? That is your go-to source for information.
Where was this private car park?1 -
No screenshot was taken sadly, it seemed unnecessary at the time. The car park is on the site of Northumbria University, I would contact them however it’s made clear from their website that any issues regarding parking is to be addressed to APCOA as the university do not deal with those issues.Yes I read through the Newbies post but I struggled to understand which bits were relevant to me.0

Doesn't matter. Like I said:

I'll give you a clue: read today's thread by @joker1PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
