With Ideal world seemingly going  out of buisness    what happens to those that  used there  flexi pay   - daughter bought an item  less than a  week a  go on  4 flex pay  schedule   the item still  hasnt arrived  but the first payment was taken  ,( by debit card)  and when she spoke to her bank  because  its not  official yet  they are reluctant to do a charge back   , so what should she do next ?

Having had a quick look - at this stage it's recommended you email them for an update on next steps - it appears as though their customer service team are still operating, It looks like they were 'for sale' - and close to a deal, but some suppliers got funny over terms and conditions, so is likely a bit up in the air at the moment. So - first step until they release more details would be to email them and ask whether your item is going to be delivered, and if not whether a refund for the first payment will be automatically issued, and then see what happens next.

Rumour has it Mike Ashley is interested in IW.  But if no buyer found by Thursday morning it is gone.

Did the arrangements confirm if there was a third party involved in the flexi-pay arrangement?
At one point I think the service was provided by clear-pay? If so, I would contact them and advise the goods have not been received.

Also bear in mind that many of the ideal world orders were fulfilled from third party companies and it is possible the goods are in transit (or seized by the carrier and held in lien, and likely to be auctioned if there are debts to the carriers, based on previous tv shopping channel collapses!).

Visa 15 days, Mastercard 30 days for non receipt. before it can be actioned.

If it's MA wanting them. Then it is just name & stock. He will not be interested in current orders of anything wrong with them, once he takes over...
Yet another retailer, I expect to see a lot of posts about, given  the companies in his group record on consumer rights, 🤣

Debt collectors will not turn up on the doorstep. Only by getting a CCJ is that possible.
She needs to write back advising that goods never received & to dispute the charge.
