No, as the FT says, they have two problems:
    a flawed product
    they're losing money

    It’s squeaky.bum.time for what3words

The concept is flawed in many ways. They've spent a lot of money on marketing to try and make out that they're saving lives where the existing open source methods don't. That's quite offensive really. OS grid references can be read straight of a phone via a simple app and would allow anyone else to locate you on a map, on a website or by walking along and reading their own grid refs. W3W is a poor idea. It looks like they're using retail investors to keep them propped up but their losses and low revenue over operating costs suggest that they can't continue for ever.

What's the point anyway? We already have OSGB grid references which can define down to one meter, and can be read directly off a map.
Because "grants.logo.shield" is a whole lot more human-friendly and memorable than either "51.513759, -0.088168" or "TQ3276081158"
But grid ref "143 546" is more human friendly than "claws.facetious.arise" or any other random set of words.

Love the first line: "If you’re a keen follower of successful, innovative businesses, you probably missed that what3words’ latest accounts came out last week."

I think the technical term for that is "going in two footed".
