Ocado hike M&S prices

Just a quick note for everybody to be aware that if they’re ordering Marks And Spencer stuff from Ocado, there are at least several items (if not all?) that are more expensive online through Ocado versus in the store on the very same day. No offers on , no specials. Just basic price. I bought a pack of 4 cooked chicken breasts for £8.50 in the store today and online at Ocado the same thing is £9!! So now going to be very wary of what M&S products I buy through Ocado. I also noted that the line is very much reduced on Ocado from what it used to be. It’s becoming very disappointing .

A retailer is free to sell goods at whatever price they want to, they arent obliged to follow the MSRP of the manufacturer/supplier.
Its fairly common for delivery services to charge a premium over shelf price, particularly with the "delivery in an hour" type express services, in addition to a discrete delivery charge etc0 -
Yes, I absolutely knew this, but I thought Ocado and Marks & Spencer’s had a 50/50 partnership and because there is a delivery charge, it just didn’t occur to me that they would add such a large markup to items. It should’ve occurred to me but it didn’t so I’m sure if it didn’t occur to me, and I’m usually quite savvy about these things, then I don’t think it would’ve occurred to other people either . So a warning to take care is what I’m doing …1

One Stop is 100% owned by Tesco but products are very different prices in Tesco stores compared to One Stop stores. Owning something doesn't mean you'll charge the same price.0 -

I’ve noticed this before and it is irritating. Stopped me using Ocado0

Deliveroo delivers food from the Co-op. There's a category on the website, showing price matches to the in-store price. Obviously that means that most prices are higher.
If you are an Amazon Prime member you now get two year's free Deliveroo membership.0
