New Sainsbury's energy tariff

For anyone who is interested.
I phoned my energy company this morning (Sainsbury's), and said could you put me on the SVR set by ofgem's price cap as my current tariff was going to cost me more over the next 3 months.

They said to me sure ... However we have a new one called.... 1 year v24 (I can't verify this as I haven't got an email yet and I didn't write it down).
The prices are (I'm east Midlands)
Electric - SC 44.28 p/day and 29.17 p/unit
Gas - SC 23.08 p/day and 7.25 p/unit

It has a £75 exit fee (NOT per fuel).
The usual 3 X nectar points per £ spent.
I asked why couldn't I see this when I logged in to my account... I was told "it's only for current and special customers"

I took it on as it's gonna save me £5 a month over the next 3 months, or £38 a month if I had stuck with my old fixed tariff.

I'm not familiar with all the regional variations but it is probably the same as E.On Next's own fixed tariff presently on offer to some of its customers.

I suspect other than the single £75 fee ?? this is going to closely match EOn Next loyalty V4 offering.

As sainsburies just a front shell reseller.

About 5-6p off sc etc driving most of savings.

See posts like "to fix with EOn or not" or other loyalty v4 threads currently active.

Check the fee terms - if soft get out as EOns - then many taking offered - but not all - appear to taking it for now if not full year.

I'm with Sainsbury's at present on the V18 which runs out in Sept.  Hoping they come down again before to fix as that's much more than my current deal still.

I exited the v17 "smooth renew" Fix to SV on 1st July as it was going to cost more until the fix ended. No other fixes offered.
