Cinch/Cazoo and ‘imperfections’?

I’m looking at buying a car from Cazoo or Cinch.

Under the photo gallery section, only one or two Cinch cars show imperfections whereas every Cazoo car seems to have some (from 6 to 15).

Are Cinch cars just in better condition or do they not tend to mention smaller imperfections?

Cinch are owned by British Car Auctions, like WBAC.

The pick of the WBAC cars are sold through Cinch, the rest get punted out through the auction.

So I assume the ones that have been played bumping cars with or were got rid for a reason go to auction, and the good condition low milers go to Cinch.

I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

I sold my 2016 Sorento to Cazoo in 2021.

I looked at its description on their website.  It seemed pretty accurate to me.  They'd missed a bit of repaint I'd had done, but listed pretty much all the little chips.
  • Reviews of cinch suggest that that for every 3 positive (all very positve) reviews there is one very negative one!

Can't imagine buying a car from a photo. That's probably why there's a few people unhappy when they see it in the flesh.

I considered selling a car (2019, in good used condition with low mileage etc) through Cazoo. They don't ask for photos or a walkround video prior to making a "guaranteed" offer. In fact their offer was almost £1,000 less than the company I ultimately sold through (Big Wants Your Car). However, the latter asked for detailed photos and a video to make their assessment. This makes me think that perhaps Cazoo offer less but then also do less to "tart" the car up.

They'll do hardly anything and probably will have provisionally sold it prior to taking delivery.
