Is this when you search through your browser? If so then it has most likely been made the default search engine there. and that is where you would change it back.1

I had to Google mojeek as I had never heard of it , tried it and and I found it terrible!
It's a search engine so probably was made default when you downloaded some software and didn't untick the box or a popup appeared asking you if you wanted to make it default and you ticked yes
Simple to sort as above
I find tempest.com a good search engine if you want an alternate to Google1 -
No, its not the default search engine, even so, i want to remove it and ecosia and duckduck go srarch engines, but how?400ixl said:Is this when you search through your browser? If so then it has most likely been made the default search engine there. and that is where you would change it back.0 -
We need to when mojeek appears on your phone
Is it when you type something into the address bar of your browser and mojeek does the search or some other way?

Ok, can't remember the type of pist I was writing, but up came a box asking which search engine i wanted to use, google, mojeek and bing i think. Only seen it once, but each time i write a post, i stay alert to notice the circumstances which brings it on screen.cerebus said:We need to when mojeek appears on your phone

OK sounds like you have set it as your default search engine on your browser but you say its not your default search engine....
What is your default search engine?
What do you mean by write a post? On here? Address bar? Something else?
On chrome I scroll up from the bottom, select settings, select search and it tells me my default is Google what is yours on whatever browser you use? What browser do you use?
Normally when you set a search engine as default on a browser it uses its own Web page to search from hence why you can't find it as an app on your phone1 -
Chrome is on my phone however i have Brave Browser also and Brave is my default browser. Google chrome is my default search engine.
In the last six months ive tried using Firefox, Vivaldi, a couple of versions of Opera, Samsung plus a few obscure browses. Why? Trying to find sonething less plaged by adverts etc plus something faster. Doubt I will experiment again.
I meant writing a post in a fb page.0 -
In Brave it is the 3 dots bottom right, `settings, Search Engines and then you can select Standard Tab and Private tab to set the default search engine for both of those.
Elsewhere you will need to look in the Launcher settings you are using.0 -

We are trying to help you but it's very difficult if you can't tell us what the actual default search engine is in the settings of whatever browser you're currently using.
What you haven't also told us is mojeek the default search engine across all these browsers you're using
What I am going to suggest is you ask a family member or friend who is knowledgeable in these matters and ask them to take a look as it seems sorting this out is not your forte
I use chrome with the inbuilt asblocker enabled thats plenty fast enough for me and has little ads, it's very difficult to get rid of all ads unfortunately
Of course the speed of your browser is also denoted by the speed of your phone and speed of your Internet connection1 -
I appreciate all youve done, despite in my 84th year, im trying. Google is my default search engine. In fact whichever browser i use, i keep google for searches. No, mojeek hasnt featured since i spotted it a week ago. What i am considering, is removing brave so google is the only browser on my phone then use the inbuilt adblocker ad quoted and adapt myself. As for adking any family member, i dont have any close by, in fact theyre 5 hrs away.1
