Bathroom fan suddenly won't switch off

Options
Hi good folks.

As per the title, my bathroom fan has suddenly decided to keep running continuously. (Actually it's the second time this year it's done this).

Standard setup: fan in bathroom ceiling, isolator switch outside door, and the fan comes on when the light is switched on. Normally the fan switches off automatically after 10 minutes, but today has decided not to play ball. I've switched it off completely using the isolator and gone out for a couple of hours. Now it's working normally again, but I'd like to stop a recurrence (as I say, it's the second time this has happened). Thoughts?
