I'm looking to install a new Velux electric/automatic roof window, and was wondering whether anyone knew whether they are supplied with standard 3-pin plugs, and if so, roughly how long is the cable?

Thanks for that. Looks like the cable can't be more than 2-3 metres long. Oh well, an extension cable it is then....0

Just to add, these windows are great - auto shutting when it rains is a massive bonus!2006 LBM £28,000+ in debt.

Is there a manual override, so that the window can be closed if there's a power cut and it's raining heavily?0

Just get an extendable pole - I use ours for opening/closing a standard blind on our electric Velux, but can also be used to manually open/close the roof light.itm2 said:Is there a manual override, so that the window can be closed if there's a power cut and it's raining heavily?0 -
Ah OK so you can use a pole to close the electric window in the event of a power cut? That's good newsComicGeek said:

Or just get the solar powered version0

I can use a camping power pack for backup if I need to close the window while there's a power outage. Not quite as convenient but I won't have to worry about replacing the solar battery every 10 years or soMaryCristm said:0
