Thinking back to my letter. It was pretty clear that it stated that it will not be renewed. No small print0

Well unfortunately I missed it. I already said i made a mistake, and if I did, others will. It was not that clear to me obviously. The size and style of letter is identical to the usual letter I get every year and there is nothing in the letter that tells you ‘your contributions are stopping because you are turning 60’. I mean, how hard is it to add that vital piece of information? In BOLD.unforeseen said:Thinking back to my letter. It was pretty clear that it stated that it will not be renewed. No small print
I have since spoken to a friend who this also happened to but he was challenged at the pharmacy at his first prescription and just paid for the items. I dearly wish this has happened to me and then I wouldn’t be in this pickle!0 -
Update: The bill finally arrived yesterday. £137.40. What a relief.Aliforce said:Thank you so much for this breakdown of how they work out the costs. I think I can see what has happened here. In the email I have had from the NHSBSA I think they have made a mistake typing in the figures, as for the number of items I've had during the period stated the charge works out at £137.40, rather than £1377.40. They had added another 7. I hope I'm right and this has a happy ending! This scale of charge I can live with but it's made for a rather stressful 24 hours.6
