Is that 8p /kWh a night rate, or is it some fancy tariff? They would charge me 29.97p.dunstonh said:I just obtained a quote from Octopus using my real usage, and they came out £722 more expensive than EDF.
No matter how much better their billing system is, £722 is a lot of money and I will take my spreadsheet over that.0 -
Which tariffs are you using to make your comparison?dunstonh said:I just obtained a quote from Octopus using my real usage, and they came out £722 more expensive than EDF.

IIRC dunstonh is quite a heavy user of off-peak E7 electricity, and lives in a region where EDFs off-peak rate is under 10p/kWh.[Deleted User] said:

Std variable E7 for Eastern. Eastern has very good rates with EDF. And I'm about 68% off peak use annually. Electric AGA needs 7 hours off peak. So, anything less than 7 hours wouldnt work.[Deleted User] said:
