Can't provide meter reading to scotish power
Hi. As I am eventually getting a new smart meter, as my gas meter display is blank and the meter won't send data to scotish power, my next meter reading is due on the 24 July In this situation what's the best thing to do. Do I give a guessed reading or wait till new meter is up and running.
Also as stated I'm getting a new meter but not till 3rd of August do u normally provide meter readings from old meter. Like I'm assuming the new meter will start from the beginning

Don't guess a reading. SP will estimate one.

Surely SP should be able to download the data from the optical port? I wouldn't accept an estimate unless I was sure it was was equal to or less than my usage.
