Porch window sill/frame replacement

Hi A couple of my porch wooden window sills and maybe a frame need replacing. One sill has really warped and with a tap, broke off. Just wondering how wooden sills are fitted usually? The break is quite clean but the rest of it is still under the frame. Maybe could loosen it somehow and get it out. The side window frame is…

Tiled cills are straightforward. You need to take out the split course below. Then fix a temporary batten to the wall for the bottom course to sit on.
Once that's done, for the top course, lay a bed, thicker at the back. The tiles for the top need a bit cropping off so they can sit at an angle under the frame.
