To fix with Eon or not?

My fixed rate with EON ends soon and they are offering me  'Next Loyalty Fixed v4 rate (12 months fixed)'.

The charges are:

Electric
Unit rate: 29.98p per kWh
standing charge 43.57p per day

Gas
Unit rate: 7.48p per kWh
Standing charge 23.08p per day

I believe costs are due to decrease soon - is anyone able to help me understand what they are roughly decreasing by and whether the above is a decent deal or not.

Thank you!

I prefer a fixed deal to a variable one but the essential thing is whether there is a penalty for leaving before the end of the 12 months.  If not go ahead and fix and then switch once prices drop (assuming they do - I'm a bit of a cynic.....)

    Thanks Brie.
I've just checked and there is a penalty of £75 if I leave before the contract ends.   I prefer a fixed deal too as it allows me to budget properly every month.
