Can I claim compensation for bad service for rental car

Hi all, sorry for the long post.
I booked car rental for holiday via booking.com for 6 days (who internally book via rentalcars.com). I also bough additional insurance on top. This rental car company did not have a desk at airport, you have to call a number. We arrived in Turkey and called the rental company. It just said a message in Turkish and then music rang for a long time. We had our disabled child with us. After nearly half an hour of trying and trying again with multiple phones we gave up. Our disabled child had started to become very dysregulated and it was going to be a massive meltdown if we didn't act. We went ahead and got a taxi to hotel, the holiday mood completely spoiled.
I had to then get a rental car from a local company that charged us nearly the same amount for three days. My attempts to resolve this with booking dot com in Turkey didn't result in anything, they just kept saying fill in a claims form.
On my return I raised a claim with Booking.com and they have returned the money for the car rental. My question is can I claim compensation for the distress and inconvenience  they have caused to the whole family ?

Thanks for your taking the time to read this.

Nothing stopping you from asking for a goodwill gesture, but there's no legal entitlement as such.
