Hi,
I received a letter from Together Finance stating we were due a refund of overcharged interest on a previous, now closed, mortgage. It stated to ring with our bank details as they didnt have up to date bank details. We gave them our bank details and was told the refund would be processed within 28 days! 28 days later it still hadn't been refunded so I rang and apparently it was still with their finance dept waiting to be signed off and I was told it would be in the bank in the next couple of days and that everything had been sorted. Fast forward to today, I have just got off the phone and it wasnt paid into the bank cos it got pulled for another signature, this time by the owner of the company!!!! (Dont laugh) and it was with the finance dept but they can't tell me when it will be credited in the bank and I can make a complaint if I want to..... I told her no point in complaining cos what will they do????.
Any advice on where I stand with these clowns and if I have any rights? I wish we had never got involved with these cowboys.

Raise a complaint. At least that way if not resolved after 8 weeks or if you get a deadlock letter you can go to FOS.
Won't speed anything up, but will focus their minds as it will cost them if it goes to FOS.Life in the slow lane1
