I’ve just received a letter from BW - they’re pressing ahead with the court and have given me 5 days to still pay. I’m sticking to my gun here as per other threads on the forum! @Coupon-mad

A bit late now, but an observation that may or may not FUBAR the defence... The OP claims they drove through without stopping but then mentions a "stopping point", whatever that is.thewonder said:
3. The Defendant and driver of the vehicle did not see any clear signage around the stopping point...The Defendant simply drove through after taking the wrong lane due to inadequate signage.
What I also don't quite understand is why did the OP admit to being the driver?2 -

Thanks for reading over the thread. Can I ask what FUBAR means? I guess mentioning the stopping point could be a hindsight thing?
I don’t quite follow the second point: could you share a little more detail please? This may be doe to it not being quite so fresh in my mind.
Thank you for your help

Oh god. Thanks @Coupon-mad !Coupon-mad said:I think you should Google it...!

I’m giggling now but also a little bit anxious about all of this. Have I made a big mistake here?! 🙈0 -
Is there a place intended to be used for vehicles to stop to allow passengers to disembark? If so it's reasonable to refer to that place as a "stopping point". This in no way suggests that you stopped there.1

Hi all,
Just sharing an update from BW and I would appreciqte any advice or feedback on it.
This is probably a standard response (going by other threads) by BW have sent me a couple of images of my car (very blurry!) and a picture of the singage at Gatwick airport. They have also said they will give me 21 days to settle the outstanding amount of £240. My defence admits being the driver but that the singage wasn't clear, so in my mind this doesn't change anything. But I would appreciate a view from anyone else who has experience with this stage of the legal process. Thank you
