as prices drop July 1st- on the BG app it is offering me a chance to switch to the standard variable price which seems cheaper on unit price. Should I do it today?

Is there any penalty for leaving your fix early? If there's no penalty, it seems sensible to switch today to the lower rate.N. Hampshire, he/him. Thanks for your reply- Ive got this message coming up re switching1 -
Just a suggestion but as you are within 49 days of end of your fix why not switch to another supplier's variable tariff (as you won't pay an exit fee) if you know someone (or find one on the net) that can give you a refer a friend code eg Octopus £50 referral bonus. Switches take about 5 days now. Win Win0

I did this a couple of days ago and they moved me the next day. More expensive standing charge, much cheaper unit charge. If you are a higher user you save more than a lower user.franconormand79 said:meant to include this fixed BG Jul 23v1 ends July 31st so would I save slightly on a months worth of energy?0
